Khrystos Voskres! Vladyko Blahosolvit! Our clergy, monastics and faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church in Anglo and Latin America send you our prayerful greetings as you celebrate the Holyday of your heavenly patron, St. Mefodiy, bishop and apostle to the Slavs.
As the two holy brothers, Kyril and Mefodiy brought the Orthodox faith to our Slavonic people in the language and culture of their times, so too, Your Beatitude has done so much to preserve our faith and liturgical expression according to our precious Ukrainian heritage in its contemporary circumstances. For your prudent and untiring leadership in this and other matters which are central to our Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, we continually express our heartfelt thanks.
In all of the churches of our Metropolia in America of the North and of the South, prayers will ascend to God’s throne for Your Beatitude’s peace, health, happiness and furtherance in all good things on this blessed day of the Equals to the Apostles, Kyril and Mefodiy. We pledge our continued faithfulness to you, Vladyko, as the visible head of the UAOC throughout the world.
